I plan to organize a weekly meet list as a partial answer to the question:
Where are the car meets? Right now, if the meet organizer doesn't post
for a few weeks, their meet notice sinks to the bottom.

Sometimes the original poster doesn't post every week, when people no
longer see a post, people quit showing up. The original poster quits showing
up when no one else shows up. The meet dies.

I will post the last link to each weekly meet so you can click it and email
the organizers or their posters to see if they are still current. As a general
rule.......if they no longer post in the thread they created.........the meet
is dieing or dead.

Pep Boys has free hot dogs and sodas as well as some dynamite door prizes!


Dairy Queen Car Show/Meet. Some car restrictions apply.....
Cool music, hot cars, door prizes and 50/50. Free ice cream cone for the first 20 registered cruisers. The first show here started January 2005, and we usually fill up, so come early for a good spot. A VERY popular location for the locals. You never know who, or what, is going to show up. "The biggest little show in town", affectionately known as FUN Friday. Hot and cool!

Saturday meets

Reeves Cars and Coffee meets EVERY first Saturday, even though the flyer has a March date. An exceptional opportunity for car owners and enthusiasts to showcase classic, exotic, luxury and super cars. 704 E. Brandon Blvd 33511.. First show was 16 May 2013.
Show car participant discount.
Free Show registration. DJ Ed Cullins.
Show cars from all years welcomed 'cuz it doesn't have to be old to be a classic.

This show ends in time to head over to the Brandon/Seffner cruisin/meet.
They have a meet photographer. Frequent postings from members and meet pictures. All cars are welcome. Original post was 2011, 900+ postings, 24,000+ views. A continuation of a successful meet that started in a Walmart parking lot and is now on Highway 60 in Brandon Florida, Hillsborough County.

Thanks for the address of the meet. I added it to the weekly list under both Tuesday and also Friday.
I also posted a separate thread in local events. If you post something in the separate thread every

are there any of this causal meets in lakeland. use to be awhile ago but i been gone awhile, wouldnt mind to hang out every now and then

 

Two ways to Search For And Revive a dead meet are:

1. Go to where the meet was once held, on the same night, at the same hour when the meet was held. Open your hood. Sit there and eat a pizza, listen to some music and wait until the hour the meet would have broken up. Talk to people who show up.

2. Look through the Local Events forum for the last time the meet was held. PM the organizer and each poster asking where folks are meeting these days.-Bob
