On my N/A I had the same prob. It was the cat. converter that caused the problem to my hessitation. Maybe you should consider that a possibility. Im not sure how Turbo II set-ups work but maybe that could be a factor to your situation.

nice. youve all been very helpfull. im getting the ground looked at now by a family mechanic. theres a post in the f\s trade fourms. im askin 5500 but am open. i need to sell trade pretty asap. im moving to california in june and need a cheap 4 banger or a 4/6 cyl pickup suv. ill post a link up soon.
