Ewww, thats ugly. I love targa cars and that thing would look alot better if it didn't have that black bar going across. I drive with the targa off and top up alot more then just having the top down.

Sure will post those pics when it happens, this car is just a project car that I can test out new stuff on, Havent really seen anyone do this before on this model so I thought I would just give it a shot. It looks pretty good In person.

 

there are targa tops,and convertable ones floating around the internet.
Before I destroy a 7,(unless it was already a peice of shit) Id paint it pink to be diffrent.

The car is a unibody and the solid roof helps with the boday as a "frame".You didnt do any other structural support so now problems will happen over time.

I made a full frame car into a "targa" about 14 yrs ago

If you read my other post In the group I said I was going to put in a roll cage after I get done making the targo look good. Thanks Boosted SEO for the compliment . Im going to try and buy Leos 3rd gen motor from him and do some work on it and put it in my Rx7. I didnt just plan on cutting off the top and calling it a day.

 

Theres a guy who made his first gen into a vert,his story is floating around the net.On how he came about making it into a vert,and what he used.

I remember he used the stock sun roof to make the trunk lid.It was very interesting.
What you have to worry about right now is stress on the A pillars,You basically have no support there.

Cut the top of the door,it will look 100 times better.
