My 13b build blunders
So all the vacuum leaks have been fixed, timing set damn near amazing! Every "mechanical" aspect of the car is squared away and in what seems like excellent operating condition. Now for the amazing news.... Yesterday was not the day
And today most likely wont be the day either
Once again i have discovered that i have an electrical issue... ECU ground is tight. Picked up a soldering gun and replaced the green wire running to the back of the Alt (original one was frayed and falling apart) as well as extended the length of the TPS clips to relieve stess and strain on the harness. Once again.... the SAFC and this time, the dash/gauge lights stayed on with the key off. Key actually wasnt even in the car this time. And the battery was disconected when i did the soldering... jiggle the harness all over the place to see if i could get it to "click" and remove power to the gauges like before... NOTHING, NO DICE! turn the car on, then off. seems normal.... turn the car over, same thing... gauges stay on after engine dies/key off but in on, and key off and out....
No wonder the battery was dead the other day. No i get to embark on the wonderful journey that is electrical wire bullshit!

Man it was SO #$%^&*()_ nice to drive the car around last night! BOV sounds wonderful! boost is the most amazing feeling since sex... just saying. Still needs some tweaking, so i wont run it just yet... but the clock is ticking
WASTEGATE IS WORKING. that back flap by the downpipe has a blockoff plate installed? Not really sure wth is up with that, but after further inspection... its just an extra POS hanging out on my manifold now? cant wait to see whats up.
Oh and after leaving the shop last night... i think i have a new found respect for M3's.... or atleast i know which ones ill keep my eyes open for
Got some numbers im gonna try as far as timing goes... and im checking for boost/vacuum leaks. Finishing up the bumper, rear seats, 4 point harness... and possibly getting around to that damn left front wheel bearing

So its been a while since i posted. Car was timed, riding around, then the issies began. I began to have clutch issues. At first it was a lil slippage. I thought maybe the clutc isnt broken in yet? So i was riding around babying it. That lasted another week and a half or so. Then the slippage got worse. When transitioning from load to no load there would be massive vibrations and loud banging noises from under the car. I ordered new solid mounts for the trans and engine, hoping that would help out (and cuz i need em for what i have in mind) and it took 4 weeks for them to arrive. The car has been sitting in the driveway for the last 3 weeks.... after the clutch completely let go on me while i was driving to a meet. So yesterday i went out and installed the new trans mounts, just to see if they'd make a diff. i backed the car out of the driveway, clutch still slipping. I pulled it back in the driveway when i heard a loud pop. The car shut off and rolled to a stop. I started the car back up and let the clutch out to finish getting back in my spot and there was almost no pull what so ever.....
Before ordering another clutch, i need to make time to get the transmission out and inspect possible damage to the input shaft and damage to the clutch/flywheel.
