my first guess before I read that was tbelt jumped
the motor has 95 pistons on 1g rods and that setup requires machining, the rods may have weakened and one may have let go or just broke

damn that sucks but at least you guys are ok. maybe next year and we will have a huge group go. also car can be fixed. what shop was the work done at? good luck guys

not 100% on it being a machining error, but at the time, it seems to be the likely culprit....i dont think the work was done anywhere locally....if i can tolerate mitsu's for another year, im definitely down to go
