Difference between AWD and FWD.
My current car is an AWD and before that I have only driven FWD cars. Anyway, should I notice much of a difference in the way my car drives compared to previous cars that I have had. I was thinking maybe the fact my tires are almost bald prevent me from noticing the difference. But I was also thinking that maybe my car isn't AWD at all. It says on the rear bumper TSi AWD. But when I did a free title check it only said 1995 Eagle Talon TSi. I was wondering if you guys that have an Eagle Talon TSi AWD have ever ran a free title check. If so does it say AWD? My concern is mainly that AWD cars are supposed to be mainly rear wheel drive and my car feels like a FWD car.
crawl underneath the rear of the car. if you see a rear differential, you have AWD. I think the power distribution for AWD DSMs are 60 front 40 rear. Bald tires will still play a roll but you will still get much better traction.

I bought my car with crappy tires on it and when I finally put some good ones on there....wow..what a difference.
Have fun trying to lose traction!! Just the other night I was launching my car on some wet pavement and it stuck to the ground nicely.

If you cant notice the difference between FWD and AWD then you are not pushing the car hard enough. And yes the power is split 60 front 40 rear with a open diff. If you weld the center diff then it will be 50/50 ( i believe)
