Kelly- sure you can join. I was considering putting it in my sig, but I didn't want to help spread the anti-dsm propaganda, that they're unreliable and are only fast on the rare occasions that they're not broken. I don't want to spread that stuff around to the rest of the board, no matter how much it's true.

"Since I bought the G I dont think I've gotten to drive it but once. Piston rings need to be replaced as well as the turbo and just some other little minor things. Welcome to the club eh?"
I'm in the same boat, got 105 compression on cyl number one, engine spontaneously starting burning ungodly amounts of oil even though I haven't been driving the car, and there some sort of ticking noise that could be harmless or fatal. I'm going to get a leakdown test when it's running, and also take it to jerry to beg and plead for his expert opinion on the ticking, if I can't diagnose it myself.

I think i might have to take apart the door to get the outer most piece off, and then scrape and have much fun getting all of the GUNK out of there. Anyone ever taken off the moulding right under the window trim on an early 1g talon? I believe the mirror has to come off, and possibly the door skin. Shoot me a PM if you have the experience and wish to share-
When I actually get to drive my car after a long period of downtime, all of the bad feelings are wiped away by one good launch and a pull up to 80 or 90. Fun when they run, vile scum worthy of contempt when they're broken.

I had a '90 AWD talon and it had 214000 miles When i sold it and the motor never gave me any trouble . It never left me stranded and it ran 13.01@104 I really liked that car and would own another one anyday.
