Some one told me that you can't just mount a turbo kit on a non-turbo car...that you have to do many other mods. Is this true?

Of course you can mount a turbo on ANY non-turbo car. Hell, you can turbo a Grand Caravan or Geo Metro if you want too. But with putting a turbo, I assume on a 2G RS\GS, it's a lot more than just slapping it in there then set it and forget it. For starters, have the knowledge of who and what works in a turbo system. That in itself will go a LONG way. If you have any questions, hit me up, as I'm one of the few boosted 420A's here (hence my screen name). is that the ECU chillin next to your air filter?

 

the basics of an engine is fuel air and spark...you put more air in (nitrous, turbo, or supercharger) you need more fuel. once you start messing with that, it begins to get expensive.

 

No, that's my fusebox right next to it. The way the piping goes, we had to remove the metal bracket that supports the box, so it's held by the chassis and some wires. The one right next to the red pipe is my ECU.
