Default Lo Throttle Settings and Short Term Fuel Trims

went out logging tonight, man was i suprised.........
after reading another thread where he said the short term fuel trims should be at 0, i went aiming for that. i had to go +35% at 1000 rpm to get my STFT at 0 and have my o2 voltage jumping (reading with jumptronix style gauge, and logger). all of my settings are crazy high up in the + side. i dont understand this.
im running small16g, supra fuel pump, stock injectors, and 2 HC's are out of the MAF. why would i have to richen things up THAT much to get the STFT's on point? i would think that with that pump, i would at least have to lean it out. but i must say, car runs WAY smoother, engine idles smoother, doesnt vibrate in the engine bay (every now and then it would look like it hiccup'd).
thanks for any/all help

That's why.

I have 550s and 2G MAS with all of the honeycombs in and I'm at about +8. Removing the honeycombs from a 2G MAS leans the car out A LOT (at idle at least). I don't understand why people do it.

Oh and btw, when I had 3 honeycombs out of the MAS, I had to richen the car +50 at idle and it was still too lean. This is why you saw me looking everywhere for honeycombs awhile back.
