Default evoIII big 16g

ok this is what i have decided to do; dsmparts.com has the evoIII big 16g and the manifold which has alot bigger bore than stock for a decent ass price...
BUT i was reading something around here that the sidemount gets heat soaked... so i would have to bite the bullet and spend another 4 or so bills on an intercooler? i know ill get the whole, oh go with the supra side mount but seriously... who can get a hold of one? if i do get the bigger turbo i will have to save again for a long time to get an ic.
so basically what im asking is, do you guys who have upped turbo all have front mounts or huge side mounts? i mean i will have basically everything else, exhaust, intake, fuel pump, s-afc...
so if i order this shit can i just get it put on and retune the s-afc or spend more money... got damn i cannot belive how much of a money pit these damn things are but i love em and everyone else does to so, its striaght
so any help would be apreciated, i cant spend this much money on something that basically wont work...
thanks

I was heat soaking my stock side mount on a stock turbo in 3rd gear. I spent many many hours trying to tune out the knock in 3rd+ gear and found that it was just getting heat soaked by the time I got into third gear.
The fmic fixed the problem.

starquest fmic and about 50 bucks in misc piping and parts to make your front mount...shouldnt be more then 200 for the entire project.

TT SUPRA sidemounts are like 150 or so from some place in tampa, talk to poppasmurf, he is the one who mentioned them to me.

Supra sidemount is the way to go, I have one waiting for my car... depends on your goals.... street car.. i would say Supra SMIC, but if your eventually gonna go bigger, just get the FMIC now.

Only problem I found with the Supra sidemount is that it requires so much custom piping work, and I'm too lazy for that.

Supra cools more air than a starion, plus it looks ultra sleeper. A great IC for a fast 16G street car.

Id imagine you could make some piping for the Supra SMIC from pieces of the stock piping plus bends that you can get at summit, etc. Shouldnt be too difficult.
