Default AGX's

I recently picked up a set of 4 AGX's I felt I couldnt pass them up because they were only 300 bucks. I'm running Ground Controls and in order to keep the fronts from bottoming out everywhere, I had to raise the car about an inch more than what I wanted to. They work well at the height I'm at now but I've still only had them a few months. I do wish I had waited and gotten the konis (Anyone know where I can get just the front pair?) In conclusion, if you want to lower your car drastically, dont go with AGX's

im told by many sources, including KYB themselves that the AGX's are not designed to work w/ lowered vehicles... i can think of a few good reasons why this would be true:

lowering springs normally have to have higher rates to keep the car from bottoming out

the internal valve on the piston rod operates in a different region of the shock body and the spring rates destroy the internal valving quicker.

the piston rod operates lower in the strut body, closer to full jounce or compression meaning that if it DOES bottom out, it could cause the shock valve to get hammered and destroyed by constant bottoming. think of how bad it is for a piston to meet a valve face; its somewhere along those lines.

i beleive summit racing sells koni yellows.
