Stay Away from KYB AGX's. I have a 1g, but its still the same product on a different car.

Mine blew out around 3k and the plastic clips that are used broke and can no longer be adjusted. Then KYB would not warranty my shocks becaues of a 3rd party being involved in the sale.

I'm trying to get my hands on some koni's. I have never heard anything bad about them.

i like my AGX. no problems yet. but, I bought from shox.com, so I don't expect any problems if I need warranty work.

my recommendation...
something hard-as-a-rock and adjustable in the back, something harder-than-stock, but not necessarily adjustable in the front. You need the back ones stiff to handle weight transfer off the line. The fronts can be a little mushier (less costly).
my setup is KYB AGX 8-way adjustables in the back, KYB GR2 in the front.

AGX`s kick ass and most of the fastest dsm`s use them.

if you do a search on DSM talk Many people have had the same problem that I encountered.

If you just look at that small Plastic clip at the front to adjust them, it does not look very solid.

I talked to KYB Directly and they basically said only distrubutors can make claims.

Never had a porblem with mine nor do i know anyone who has. I will take your word for DSM Talk because i have no interest in that site or searching in on it. I do my searchs on a different board. One i trust.

Kyb was going to fix the problem but when I talked to them within 2 weeks ago they were telling me that you cannot use the KYB's with lowerd springs.

Triple g, I cannot think of any fast cars that do use them?????

Those are some really old posts. I cant believe you dont know of any fast DSM`s using AGX`s. Some of the best 60ft times done were with AGX`s and GC`s or DSS springs. Anyways AGX`s worked great for me and for many others. I relize this post is for a non turbo 2g so what does it matter.

I have had the same pair of AGXs in the back of my car for 3 years and 50,000 miles. They work great for me, but what do I know, I am not a DSMTalker

I love my rear AGXs but i wouldnt recommend them in the front on a lowered car. Not enough shock travel. They bottom out all too often.
