Hey guys, I dont know much about Mitsubishis. I'm into nissans myself, but i have a quick question i want to ask.... There is a 2nd gen eclipse around that is either a rs or a gs and it is not turbo. She claims it has something like 425-475hp and it is without nitrous. ALL MOTOR!! That seems pretty damn crazy to me and i was wondering if this is usual or likely because i think they are talking out of their ass. Those are pretty big numbers for a daily driven all motor 4 cyl. the RS or GS 2g which is a 95 to 99 eclipse or Talon (talon stoped in 98 ) It has a 420A motor in it which is the same motor that the Dodge Neon Comes with. Its if N/A and Non-turbo I doubt it has more than 230hp at the MOST.
You can build the 420A up pretty strong but that also involves Lots of money and Lots of N2O or Large turbos.

I say 100% BS. Damn fool dosent know what they are talking about.

well if you bore it .30 over and lengthen the stroke and raise the compression to ~15:1. Get some hefty cams, port the hell out of the head and intake and exhaust, cut new valve seats to put in bigger valves, and find a rocker with a larger ratio...you might see 260...

 

 

Maybe if she has three or four 420a's in there...
