i beleive that in a recent test the bridgestone potenza s-02 pole position's were rated the best all around tire. but they are pretty pricey. i would probably go with the kuhmo ecsta supras 712. they are cheap and descent tires. plus they have a nice tread design. i think you can get four for like 300 balanced if you look around.

Those are the two I've heard good things about from pretty much everybody. The only downside to the Kumho's, from what I've heard, is that they get noisy when they age, and that they don't have especially stiff sidewalls. I'm taking that into account and sizing them with a pretty small sidewall, right now I'm trying to figure out what size I want to get with the rx-7 rims I'm getting from a friend. I'm thinking 215/40/R16's, they'll throw my speedo out of whack and the tire place will have to stretch them, but I think it's the surest way to make sure there are no fitment issues- I really don't want to run spacers, the tires already slightly bulge out around the fenders up. Oh, that's another reason for low sidewall.

Kumho's are awesome when you first get em and they are great up until about 5-10K miles on em... like jordan said, from experience they start to get really loud, and I have had 3 impact bubbles from the 711's... I prefer the 711 tread pattern better... they are better for dry grip... and are cheaper... adn have pretty good wet grip as well... but ya... don't know much about other tires...

The yokohamas I have are the same as kumhos in every way, but they last longer. I don't know if they have that noise problem though.

Im surprised no one said anything bout the Toyo T1S. I want them so bad but they are very pricey. Also, the Falken 512's are awesome too. I have them on the 00 maxima and love them to death. Ill prolly put them on the GSX as well. I got all 4 for $400 balanced/rotated.
