You don't need to water cool your turbo. Just run a turbo timer and you will be fine, no need to do any "taping into the water system" nonsence.

Just look for a 14b turbo, they aren't really that hard to find and if you have any questions just post a picture and ask on here, that's what we are here for.

Then its ok? to run a water cooled turbo with out the water part? Wouldnt that shorten the life of the turbo?

Yea because they are water AND oil cooled. Water cooling is just an added safety. You're running a turbo now with no water cooling aren't you? It was made that way for a reason. I ran my 14b all day long with no water cooling, and had the TT setup to run for 1min after I take the key out and never had any problems.

Yup, glad to help.

Look for a 2g exhaust manifold also when you go to buy a 14b. It outflows the 1g mani.

I dont think the manifold will bolt up to my 1.8 SOHC Cordia. I'll have to check into that one.

Bah I think you might be right but then again you might be wrong. I know I used my valve cover from my 1.8L hyundi elantra on my g463 and I think the 1.8 mitsu motors use a 2L head....

Ian, I was doing a little research on the turbo timer you talked about. Ive looked at many posts about the TT. Alot of people mention harness. Since there is NONE aval. for the Cordia, I have to hard wire it in. How complicated is this? How reliable are TT? I would hate to leave the car running all day. What would be a good one to check into? or I guess I could just sit in the car for a minute or 2....

I used a hks turbo timer. Hard wiring it shouldn't be that much of a hastle. I never had any problems with my TT or really heard of anyone having any with it running longer then you set it to run.
