well i was stupid and traded my b16a crx for a 93 Talon TSi and 20 mins into the drive home and a rod starts knocking extremely loud and then the car overheats and shuts off.....so i call the guy and ask him wtf and i get a what am i suppose to do....which brings me to where im at now....i need a 6 bolt and someone to help me put it in.....im in brandon heres a pic of the car.....

goat, i saw your GSX. pretty nice car. i wanted to know was there any motor work done to the car prior to jerry receiving it? i wanted to find out where the block came from and which pistons/rods are in it? they were flattop piston which leads me in the direction of them being 7bolt non-turbo piston. just wanted to find out.

 

also how much do 6 bolts run? what all will i need to parts wise to do the swap? how much will it cost to get the swap done?

ls1, thanks, and you're not the first person to suggest engine work had been done or the block had been pulled. I got the car in the summer of 02, w/ ~85K miles on it. I rememeber someone else looking at it when i first got it, and thinking that the block had been pulled out for some kind of work. They thought if anything the head had been taken off to be painted. I dont know though. But them being flat top non-turbo pistons was a bad thing, huh?

did you just get tha car with in the last 3 days? did he tell you there was any thing wrong with the car? i know for a fact he knew there was a problem .... sucks man if you do part it out i would like to get a few things off of you
