and what's the difference of a dsm and an eclipse

 

i met a guy through pappa smurf who put a 6bolt in a rs eclipse it was quite fast i dont remember his name but you should ask smurf he could tell you more as far as what he did

 

well back in the day dsm stood for diomand star motors.this lasted through the 1.5g see they had the eclipse the laser and the talon up until like 1993 or 94 after that it was just mitsubishi so thats why i said you have a eclipse not a dsm cause you dont.

 

Heh, you think that's expensive...Check out Hahn's and Star's Turbo Kits. There are options out there for N/T owners, but they are usually pricey, unless you do some extensive shopping around and get some good deals.

Seriously though, just stick to basic mods if you have a really bad mod itch. It's not worth the trouble, (nor money), to turbo the N/A motor. Alot of N/T owners will argue this, but it's been proven countless times that the engine in the turbo models (4G63) is a much better engine. The N/A motor (420A) will never be able to boost as high, nor have the capability to create the power the 4G63 does, without spending excessive amounts of cash. By the time you get the 420A to reach stock like turbo model HP figures, you can own a turbo model, with some mods to boot, in addition to having a much more capable motor.

Save yourself the trouble. If going fast is what you want, get a GS-T/GSX/TSI. Search around on the net. There is a wealth of useful information of turbo and non-turbo Eclipses/Talons. Read up and get very familiar with your car. Good luck with your future car plans and be safe.

 

this is very true my 4g63 n/a will pull on my friends boosted 420a with a t4. i want to try the swap big deal if i blow the moter cohphers has plently of them.
