still leakin oil.... I NEED HELP!!!!!

Default still leakin oil.... I NEED HELP!!!!!

i got the galant put back together today and its still leakin oil... its not comin from the front cover, its leakin from allittle higher than that... any suggestions... i have all day saturday off so i can hopefully get it done for the dsm meet saturday night.... HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

you dont happen to have oil on your timing belt do you

yes there is oil on the belt from when i started the car...

Make sure the bolts for the timing belt tensioner are extra tight, I think that will fix your problem.

No worries, from the small amount of information that he did give, that would be my first guess since when I had my galant and replaced the tensioner and started it up it was leaking oil and not from the front cover. Come to find out one of the tensioner bolts actually passes though an oil galley and if it is not tightened fully it will leak oil.
