Shep even said with the right track and a good driver. Have you even ever driven your galant at the track? I have multiple 0.50* r/t's on 0.500 lights and even a 0.500 and plenty of 1.7* 60's and I would still be pushing it to run 11s on a e316g in a galant. There is not alot of weight to take out of the cars so unless you plan on running a gut box it's not going to happen. I never said I know more then shep and I never will, BUT I DO KNOW FOR A FACT BEING A PREVIOUS GALANT VR4 OWNER THAT YOU WILL NOT DO IT. You do not have the experience or the knowledge. oh jeff, we all can talk to shep. or atleast try to hes not gonna tell us what he does with his motors and what not if he did hed not be the fastest... and the "setup" your gonna run, the dsm and the 4g63 have been around the block a few times so like ian said is not gonna be hard to figure it out. so dont be a little bitch, shit 99 percent of dsmers will tell what they have in thier car cause someone before them had the identical setup, i bet if you went on nbar or tuners or dsm there are 100's runnin the same setup you want to. i personally am shootin for 12;s with my car and i know what it takes to get there, the sad thing is ill put money on the table right now that your gonna do shit wrong... and keep blowin up motors...

 

sorry for the post last night. I was kind of drunk but I still stand by everything I said. Look to see Tom to go 11s on a 16g but he is running a fully built galant with slicks and has alot of dsm/racing experience. We are all a big family here and like to help eachother as much as possible, trust me I love to help when/where I can. The galant vr4's and dsm's are about enjoying kick ass cars with awesome motors, lets not get out of hand and end up like the ford and chevy people at eachothers throats. Now lets stop mucking up Toms thread and if we want to continue this start another.

to redline- i said above consistent twelves but wanting to break high 11's. i also am not doing all of my own work. i wanted to get additional dsm knowlege, so i took my freind that knows most of you, but has been out of the game for a whike to help. he has an extensive track record which includes owning and working on 5 dsm's of his own, and building motors for other people including one's that he sold to Jerry. i did this so i could learn more about my car. when i do buy a car i do my research. not saying i am more knowlegeable, but i do know some stuff. hope i am not the new asshole outcast of dsmers, but sorry for the lengthy post.

You change your mind too often...First you're doing it with a 16g, then with "something bigger". First you're running 11's then "consistent 12s". You're also full of mysteries...you have a mystery friend that knows alot of people on here? Who is he? You also are pulling a mystery setup...ooo.

I'd also put money on the fact that they'll be more blown motors than 11/12 second slips, but you never know I guess...
