Another DSM on the street!!!
16 hours... ouch. did you get a reach around with that? i saw kristin posting in here somewhere...........
so you spent 2400$ on an rs, eh?
it would be hypocritical(i can not spell that word for the life of me) of most of us to bust your balls about it, not like we ever spent money on something that we woulda been better off not spending it on..

I guess the gas being in the tank for so long damaged it and it needed to be replaced along with the injectors, the filters and the rail.
5.00$ that wouldve been a good start.

Seafoam doesnt stop or help rust corrosion.

I think if it was bad enough that the shop had to replace it, if he did it himself he'd have probably ended up combing the junkyards for a replacement tank and lines, and blast the injectors out with a 1.5v battery and some seafoam he picked up while buying the new fuel filter. Probably would've been less than 150 dollars to fix it then, but we're talking junkyard parts and DIY compared to dropping the car off at the shop and picking it up a few days later.
They had my car for 2 weeks, plus I paid $250 for the USED injectors and the tank that they took the liberty of going out to get. I kinda felt like I got scammed. Oh well. I learned my lesson

For $20, I could of fixed your tank. I had this problem on my continental. It wouldnt have taken more than a days work to replace that shit. Go to junkyard, pocket some injectors saves even more money. Buy a good rail and lines and your good to not get ripped off. Better luck next time. By the way, where did you take it to?
