Yeah, if the starter isn't even clicking, it's probably shot.

 

Yeah the safc didnt help. Ill try push starting the car and if it starts, Ill replace the starter.

 

Just put a battery charger on the solenoid of the starter. Leave the key in the On position with the car not in gear. Put the negative to a good ground, and put the positive to your starter solenoid. That will let you know if it's indeed the starter.


No pushing it to pop the clutch. I'm all about making things easier...


I don't know any electrical problems that could keep that thing from spinning over then. That will bypass alarms and such, not saying it will start though. If indeed there are other problems you'll know the starter works but something is keeping it from getting started.

Well I tried doing what you said but I cant figure out a way to get to the soleniod.

Grrr its bad I have like no drive what so ever to try and fix this.

Anyone want to make a house call and take a look?

 

IGNITION??? i the same thing happens with me and when i turn the key and nothing clicks, but i can only start it with the remote start alarm.

 

its not ignition.. cause it wont even turn... just replace the starter and go from there

 

Im testing the starter today to rule it out.

 

Did you even try what Rob said? Push starting? that will rule out starter very easily.
Also DSM induction is right. if it is igniton it wont turn either. basically his is because his alarm has starter kill and something is fucked between the actual key and the alarm.
think of it as if the starter wire is cut then it wont start. if thats is the problem it wont even start when you push start. It happens to me when my battery dies and my alarm is set.
