IMO any t-bolt clamp is better than the other weak ass clamps.

The core I recommended may be a little bigger than what you need for your setup. But lancerman installed one of these cores on a 1st gen with a 16g and there haven't been any issues with the car... well... other than what the owner created.

By the way, i will be running an EVO 3 big 16G (need to get it installed but dont know where other than sidewinders, and they want 300 cash) and hope to eventually make somewhere around 340-350 HP.
Sounds like you should probably buy the pre-made kit then. I have to say making the piping for my front mount was one of the biggest pain in the ass jobs I have ever done. I would honestly rather pull the engine than make that piping. It didn't help that I did it in this super long route style with hot and cold pipes going around the passenger fender. I just couldn't think of any better way without sacrificing ground clearance or the AC system, not with the core I have.
