Confused about DsmLink

The second you make adjustments in the airflow table to get boost est correct you are in a sense tricking the ecu.
DSMlink is the closest you will get to a standalone while keeping the stock ecu.
AEM has caused many people to throw in the towel.

yep tom - but i haven't had to do that yet.

who cares about boostest anyway? I log actual boost w/ the AVCR.

You should log both. If boost est doesnt match actual boost then you should adjust your airfow table till it does.
You want what boost your motor is actualy getting and what it thinks its getting to match.

Should match or maf comp table is off. As far as DSMLink goes, I feel that as long as you're still using the stock ECU, trickery is always going to be the easiest way to go. I rom tune my car and on the DSM-ECU list there are guys who spend untold hours perfecting maf comp tables and injector deadtimes to get trims to a perfect even level, and everything perfectly calibrated so the ECU sees the exact actual airflow... I'd rather just fiddle the open loop fuel map a bit and live with 5% trim variance and not spend the 3 dozen hours. I could spend 3 dozen hours learning AEM instead, is how I figure it.
