if i bought a new blcok and wanted rods and pistons put in, would i have to have it machined?

More than likely. Most aftermarket pistons would require at least a .02 or w.e overbore. You just have to check whenever you purchase them. I would at least have it hot tanked or something but that is just me. Why were you buying a new block? What piston/rod combo were you looking at?

 

i looked at some pistons and there is an option for std bore

 

im lookin at the eagle wiseco combination. i am tempted to buy that blcok jerry has for his yellow car.

PS standard bore = standard bore = no boring necessary...

 

buying jerrys block would be cheaper than gettin mine built.
