Question for people pushing the 14b hard
Question for people pushing the 14b hard
What kind of boost curve do you have? I've been trying to pin it down, which is hard since I have my hands full when under full boost WOT.
It seems like it hits my desired boost of 20 psi in the lower 3000 range, then holds it until maybe 4800-5000. Then it starts dropping off badly, ~18 at 5200, ~17 at 5500, 16 at 6000, 15 at 6500 and down to 14 by 7000. That boost would drop off I expect, but is my car dropping off sooner than normal? I've got no boost leaks but I do have a few cracks around the wastegate area... not that I'd think that matters. It pulls pretty hard when it's cranking 20 psi but certainly doesn't reward shifts any higher than 6500.
Just looking for confirmation that I'm not missing something and that the stock turbo really is supposed to act like a small stock turbo.

Sorry for not being able to provide an answer to your question. Back on topic...
Ill let you know as soon as you get back to me on that favor
lol
lol
Are you still using a home-made MBC?
If so, it could be that. If you would like to try my turboxs and see if it makes a difference LMK. It is not even on my car right now, so it would just be a simple matter of swapping them out. It would at least allow you to rule it out.

Jordan, if you need someone to watch boost during your pulls let me know f00. I can watch that ish, might make you like 200billion seconds slower in the 1/4, but oh well.

There is nothing you can do to keep the boost from falling off. The best thing you can do is crank the boost up, modify the wastegate to stay closed better and tune your car for the peak boost level you will see for a short period of time.
