I bought a stage 2 supercharger for my '03 Lancer about 9 months ago from RIPP Mods and the thing has been working since. This is the 3rd shop Ive had it in since i bought the thing and its killing me. The engine is surging and bouncing around so much i broke the mount for it and it put a hole in my headers, i cant run my system with it because its drawing to much power so i need to get a bigger altenator or something for it and...blah just a lot of crap. Has anyone dealt with these problems that could offer some help or that have dealt with RIPP in the past that could shed some light on it?

 

Dont buy a supercharger for a Mitsu?....

 

Does it do it right away? Or does it start after warm up? Or after you start boosting?
What engine management are you using?
Are you still on the stock MAP and can it read positive pressure. You might need to put a check valve on it.

 

Well the reason i got the vortech supercharger is because i like being diffrent everyone has a turbo mitsu but you hardly find a SC mitsu....guess im paying for it now eh rdline. Boost it does it right after start up. It runs alright for about 3 secs. than it starts to surge. I dont even get to move the car to get it up to boost. Not using stock map either.
