Unhappy Boost Controller Installation / Help

I Been trying to get my boost controller for the las 4 hours and for some reason doesn't seem to be that I'm doing it right. Besides that i don't even thing that I'm boosting, the boost controller that i bought is one of those home made and it came with a optional PSI Gauge, but it is the same that turbonetics use. I paid $25 , compare to turbonetics $ 98.

Well anyways what going on is this i unplugged the 2 hoses that goes in the Waste gasket solenoid and i hook it on the BC, and the gauge doesn't read anything 0psi. So i try it directly from the turbo hose and the waste gasket and nothing still 0psi. I may be doing wrong and just wasting my time.

Anybody know what i supposed to do, any explanation.... HELP

one line goes from compressor to bc, the other wastegate to bc. did you try adjusting the bc? and just because it looks like the turbonetics mbs doesnt mean it is, you get what you pay for.

all boost controllers work the same. doesnt mean they are or even close to one that looks like it. many mbcs can be picked up cheap and are the real thing that work the correct way. have you tried reversing the lines, is there anything else spliced into the lines. You can also test the pressure side of the mbc with an air hose to see if its bleeding off air and opening the wastegate like it should.

yeah there is a hose coming off the of the wastegate going to the turbo. you cut that line and plug the mbc into both ends. usually a bc would have arrows on it showing which lines go to which side. post a picture of the setup, that would probably help.

or check this out if it doesnt work The "D.I.Y." Manual Boost Control
make your own.

the line coming from the boost source should be parallell with the screw, while the line going to the actuator will be perpendicular.
