Ya , it's running a bit better . 13 deg's total timing @ 16psi very low knock count of 2-3 @ around 4000-4500 then back to 0 after that . Stil has an intermitent misfire issue that I think is the crappy discount plug wires .

Has BPR7ES's gapped @ .025 so I dont think that's the issue ..

I really wanna just start doing EPROM tuning . Is it possible to use DSM Link software on a socketed EPROM ECU ?

as long as the dsmlink chip is in the ecu where its socketed, it will work.

Of course you have to have the dsmlink cable also.

dunno about that. i dont think they would be charging 550 bucks for it if you could make the cable yourself.

Sounds like something MIGHT be amiss in the fuel system. How old is the pump? How old is the fuel filter? Have you tried another set of injectors to rule out one of these injectors isnt flowing right?

Have you ran a boost leak test?
Sure its not a sign of idle surge?... check the readings off the datalogger on the TPS, ISC, and so fourth to make sure they are within range.

Any trouble codes on the datalogger?

I thought my car may have had a misfire, replace my the spark plugs with NGK gapped at .028, replaced spark plug wires, power transistor, coil pack and still had this thing called "misfire" I thought it was. Turns out book leaks which I already started to fix.

Fuel pump is rather new Walbro 255 . It's re-wired as well ..

Fuel filter was "supposedly" replaced recently but I will be changing that next if the problem persists ..

I put the stock MAF on it too see if I am still having issues and going try it . Logger shows no trouble codes and the TPS and ISC are within spec

You cant make your own Jap. The cable is what makes dsmlink work. Its not a radio shack hack job that you can just make up.
