They're not bad cars. The V-6 cars are faster stock than any turbo DSM ever was. It's just that these days the real enthusiast cars are the Evos. They're not building the Eclipse for the enthusiasts now.

^ thats not true i beat a 5 speed 3g when i was leaning out and all i had was a bov and it was killing my car cuz it was a rfl... and it was from a roll

The 4g V6's are 3.8L rated at 280hp. Buschur has been quoted saying that they put more power down on the dyno than any stock DSM and even more than a stock Evo VIII.
That being said, FWD sucks, V6 platform sucks, N/A sucks etc...

As far as Fwd on the new eclipse sucking, I agree but I would love to see one of those turbo charged. I wonder how much that v6 mivac can take before it goes BOOM! Wondering how much that 6-speed tranny can hold as well. I don't think the v-6 platform suck at all. Maybe the one's in the 3g but I would like to see a well built v-6 platform that can spool quicker, a bit bigger displacment and hopefully have more power.

drove the gt v6 on friday the guy was ranting and raving bout how fast this car was and i told him after the test drive that i was thourolly disappointed, for 30k i can go buy a GTO with double the hp and tq but thats my oppion
