When ever you install a 2600 you want to make sure that the lines a properly bled. If not, or if you have old fluid in there it will cause this issue. The best thing to do is check all the fluids, bleed, and check the fork. This will help you narrow down the problem to the correct area. Sometimes just a simple adjustment will help this problem. The 2600 is not an extreme clutch, there for you should not have to worry about a broken fork. It may just be dirty fluid that is making you have this headache.

he said it was a 2100... either way I would not expect it to be a broken shift fork, this was just a long shot. for now just bleed and let us know how it turns out. oh and by the way.. you guys still suck for having a mitsu meet on the day I work, I get off at 3pm, how late was it going for?

If you want to get technical a broken shift fork would not cause the pedal to go the floor. Broken shift fork = broken tranny. Bent shift fork = non gear change or in to gear. Clutch lines = pedal pressure problems. Master Cyl. = pressure problems. Air in line/Fluid level = pressure problem. As for clutch size 2600 2100 or below not heavy enough to break forks especially in a vehicle that is stock. Clutch forks follow the same guidlines as that of a shift fork as stated above. Throw bearings can cause issues of engagement, noise, and pressure plate. The actuator that moves the clutch forks, if not installed properly can also cause this issue of pedal pressure.

The case in hand for this vehicle was air/fluid in lines. abundance of air and the lack of fluid.

i think he meant broken clutch fork (the one that pushes the TOB against the pressure plate)
