Default "can someone help me please"

"PLEASE READ"

i dont know what to do i have a 91 talon tsi that i took to the brothers and they look at my car and they said that my turbo was bad a stock 14b AND IT WAS SMOKING IT WAS BAD .i havent had a chance to buy a new turbo so i have been taking that car normally to work and back like a daily driving car.JUST TODAY WHEN I CAME FROM WORK SOMETHING HAPPEN IT STARTED MAKING LIKE A GRINING NOISE I DONT KNOW IF THATS MY TRANSMISSION OR IF IS THE TURBO THE CAR GOES TO ALL OF THE GEARS FINE LIKE IT HAD ALLWAYS WORK BUT WHEN IT BOOST TO LIKE -3-4 POUNDS WITCH IS NOTHING IT MAKES THAT SOUND. I TRIED TAKING IT BACK SO I FINALLY DROVE IT BACK TO MY HOUSE REALLY SLOW. PLEASE WHAT DO U GUYS THINK IT IS WOULD IT BE MY TRANNY OR TURBO OR U GUYS THINK IS SOMETHING ELSE .

PLEASE WRITE SUGGESTIONS

I am gonna say your turbo wheel is hitting the housing. game over for the turbo.

driving around on your turbo like that probably wasnt the best idea. if you blocked it off properly and took the steps needed in order to drive on a blown turbo you would be ok. If the turbo was leaking bad enough, you can pump all your oil out thru the compressor and turbine housings. which then means its going thru your intake system back into your engine and getting spit thru your exhaust. probably not the greatest thing to do trying to boost on it either. best bet is to swap turbos out, and make sure you didnt damage anything else up.

If you can go through all of the gears fine, then I would say it is the turbo. Since you are leaking oil from it, the seals are shot. The shaft is most likely moving or bent now. The fins and shaft are doing most of the grinding. Hence the lack of boost.

You may not want to drive it until you get a new turbo on it. There is a possiblility that you are sending metal fragments into the engine by driving it. you can do even more damage to the internal if that is happening.

if dave told u it was the turbo, then its the turbo thats fucked up.
