I have a 97 eclipse gs and i have a Stock turbo kit off of a 95 talon tsi... Can i install the kit on the eclipse??? if so is it an easy operation??
Also what will have to change with the ECU? if any.

quick answer, no the manifold does not line up, what you have is a 420a motor and it's completely different from a 4g63t sorry bro.
the wiring harness is totally different so no ecu exchanging, to turbo ur car go on ebay and type in 420a turbo kit and you can find all u need there, except you'll definately need fuel injectors,an afc, and much much more

 

its probably better if you sell the car and buy a car that is already turbo. it'll save you a LOT of money in the long run.

 

ok... Im keeping my GS , so i must find a way to safely boost it, instead of buying a NEW car like a gst etc.. I understand its much better to do but in my case its not possible at this time.. i may wait a while..

 

ebay has lots of nice turbo kits i can probly get one for like $800

 

I'm with gstracer, why not just sell it for a turbo model? why are you set on keeping the GS?

 

I kept mine . Build a cheap kit and boost it conservatively. If your not satisfied part the kit out and sell the car as a stock vehicle.

 

dont evo motors drop into gs? not sure just asking.cause if thay do im mite have an offer you cant shake a stick at.

 

the oreintation is the same, but thats all i know. either way its 100x easier than putting a gst engine in
