Well its not my alt, the car kept running when i disconnected the battery. And I dont think it is the battery either. Not I am going to check the ignition and see if their is something wrong there. Also I was talking to my girlsfriends dad and he was telling me to check my alarm too??? Idk

 

well i have known first hand, alarm systems can be very screwy. i hated mine, so i took it out, my car has never been better.

 

stop braging!!!! lol. I only put it in because some shit face broke into it. But yea I have herd that they are pretty screwy. the car hasent shut off on me again sence, but it is still doing what it did before ( nothing coming on with the key clicked twice ). Im still thinking it might be the ignition?

 

What about the terminals and ground did you clean those already?!?

 

Yeah dario I bought the stuff to clean it, I cleaned the terminals and made sure everything was all nice and tight. But that wasen't the problem. Today I was driving to work and I smelled this weared smell kinda like something was burning. Then I come to see a little bit of smoke coming from the steering column. So I think my problem lyies somewhere there.

 

So i found the problem!!! Last December I opened my car and my alarm went off, apparentaly it was the factory one. Well my friend cut a couple wires under the steering column a fucked te car up ( it would start ) so i had to get it towed and got everything re-wired at tires plus ( didnt want to take it there but that was the closest place a such short amount of time. well now the wires they messed with were touching the wrong wires and fried the ignition wires so that was causing everything i said in this thread to mess up. Well ima take it to the brothers and have them re-wire everything. it will be in better hands

Thanks bro, no I didnt take it. When I got home today I bought the the stuff i needed and fixed it myself. Basically I think the wire was like a 12 gauge and they ( Tires plus ) used and like 18-25 gauge to bridge it to the other side of the wire. Fucking dumb ass's!!!! well everything is fixed now. thanks for everyones help!!! Oh and thanks to dario I have battery cleaner now along with everything else I need to clean shit with, I kinda went over board with the cleaning stuff

This is kinda after the fact, but you dont need to buy any special cleaner for your battery terminals, just get some coke and a really old tooth brush.

Works wonders.
