#1 the stock gauge means jack. It is not hooked up tp manifold pressure at all. It simply displays based on MAF counts. It sounds like you got a wicked boost leak.

#2 The old lifters tick...much like a bear shits in the woods its just something that happens. He can drop $100+ on the new revised lifters from the dealer if it bugs him.

banging noise? rod knock? does he have anythign done to the car?


also if its not reving check to make sure there are no leaks in the i/c piping. Also check to makwe sure the maf is pluged in it will cause a problem like that

Prolyl a stupid question but does the car free roll ok? Rty pushing it may be somethign as stupid as a stuck brake caliper..I have seen it happen.

i agree check to see if you have a leak. http://machv.com/ has them this where i got mine from or u can build your own.
