Sweet... you got it back to running... ive done one DSm head gasket on a 1.8 talon...
Not fun..

oh and also did you ever end up cleaning the carbon off the pistons??

just had to do my civic one about a month ago... for me its easy.. took me about 4 hours total to get it apart and back together.

mine looked like this without the head. 2 of the pistons had about 1 inch of water in them.. had to vac it out with a shop vac

But i know i didnt have the turbo and lines to remove like you had to do.

I just got some of the surface carbon off the pistons but polishing them is pointless.

So lets see if we can get the times you want at the track in Nov.
You should consider my advice on ripping the rest of the sound deadner out and gettin her a little lighter with a few things here and there. I have plenty of tips on clean, unnoticeable weight reduction.

Also does anyone know whether the gst/ gsx share the same clutch disks and pressure plates? I know the flywheels are different from 6bolt to 7bolt, but I dont know about clutch differences. His stock clutch is about to begin slipping soon, and Im doing a clutch job on mines now and I am willing to give him my 2100 pressure plate out of my AWD and I have a upgrade feramic disk thats been sitting in my garage for over a year and it only has like 100 miles on it and I was going to sell him that for really cheap and im pretty sure that setup should hold whatever his goals with the car are especially being that he's fwd.

So once again just wondering if the AWD clutch, pressure plate will work in a gst.

hah I know the feeling..After my HG was fixed it was a total bitch to keep on the road and I ended up taking it to the track running about the same psi I could only pull a 14.5....first gear was totally useless with the shitty stock tires and I had a blast my first time out but I was a little disappointed because I know I had a 13 sec run in me.

Dam...memories, WTB AN ECLIPSE!!! lol
