Default Did I make a opps?

I did some searching around and found that ARP thread lock is supposed to be used with the studs, also I only torqued mine to 80ft pounts because thats what I read on vfaq but ARP's site recommends much higher when using oil and not threadlock. Is it possible and should I take the valve cover off and either torque them down higher or take them out one at a time and use thread locker? the car runs great now but I don't want it to be something I need to worry about.

do you think I can redo it one at a time with just the valve cover off?

I was not sure if taking out a stud one at a time would screw anything up. what kind of oil? just standard 30wt on the threads?

Ive taken just my valve cover off and applied more torque to head studs one at a time without any problems. I wouldnt worry about the lube on them now, theyll hold. If you take them out one at a time and do them then youll have that bothering you in the back of your mind.

So I take it youll be needing the torque wrench again, and na dont take them out, keep in mind you tighten headstuds in a certain pattern...

Id just retorque them down to 100 ft/lbs or so without taking any off... That should be plenty fine for your goals...

I actually bought a torque wrench yesturday I'll just redo them tonight. the only reason I was talking about taking them out was because I did not oil them but they were alittle oily from previous use so they should be fine.

The 1x1 headstud method is common practice in the Evo community when replacing headstuds although in your case there's no reason to remove them.
