Troubles with my 99 eclipse gs
well so far on tr i think there r only 2 guys that have put nitrous in their 420a. CHILL and I. Ask anyone, the motor like nitrous better than boost. i have forged internals and run 75 shot with no problems. im not the fastest for sure and wish it was faster but im not complaining either cuz i know i i wont be the fastest. the fastest 420a non turbo so far is 201 HP to the wheels and the guy is a real nice guy. its not really a daily driver either lol.

well. lol. knowing i only drove it for a total of a month cuz the repair guy is an idiot. i only have two outside pictures of it like the two listed, and a couple pictures of the engine that blew up. i can put those up if you want me to ha.
keep it stock. it's more reliable that way. i beat the living shit out of my old one and never had any problems. you'll enjoy the gas saver when you build your supra

I agree with dipstyc on that. If your goal really is a Supra, don't waste money and time on this car and pursue your goal. I'm not saying the GS should be bone stock. It can be mildly modded, I/H/E, but there's really no need if it's going to be a pure DD to risk nitrous on it. But like I've said in the past, do what you want, it's your car and the decision is yours alone.

ok so does your car have any mods at all? if you posted it and i missed it sorry! when you say blown piston what do you mean? rings, is the piston snaped in half, is there a hole threw it? i dont hear about to many n/a leaning out to the point of melting a piston unless thay have some major upgrades,realy bad tune, or major fuel system failure! did you brake in the engine after it was rebuilt? or did you go out and beat on it right away? that kind of a rebuild needs at least 1k miles to break in. if now ones responded to your question leaning out is lack of fuel in your air to fuel mix to much air not enough gas makes for way to much heat! in turbo and high hp n/a you start to melt threw things! theres not an afc on your car is there?

If you're stock I seriously doubt you're running too lean. Our factory ECU will pull enough timing to nearly kill the car if you lean out too much. Post pics of the damage if you have any. Oh, and about getting 250 out of a 420a without some kind of power adder, no. Trust me. But, I say, build it. 4G63's are a dime a dozen; Be different. You'll spend a lot more, have more headaches, but, you'll learn more, and be a much better mechanic because of it.

I sold this thing for like 1000 bucks, leaked no oil, had COLD ac, clutch was great, interior was near mint, and I threw in 2 12's. Guy repainted the green white (i didnt paint it green, it was like that when i got it) and daily drives it now.
