Car has been running quite well on e-85. tune was very conservative. seeing only 4-9 degrees on thelogger and very low egt. last two weeks it was around 700C. about 29psi holding around 20psi.

Engine developed misfire. I heard rattling shortly after. Shut car down and coasted to a stop. started it back up and shut it right down. major rattle. I assumed a piston let go. when I pulled the head I was a bit confused. as the pistons and bores looked perfect. at this point I am think fly came loose or crank cracked. turns out evo 8 rods arent as strong as I hoped.

Impressive. You got lucky. I have not seen to many that just bend. Most just snap, and take out the block.

Something else had to go wrong, evo's are making 550+ all day on those rods. hmmm I wonder what would have caused that.

detonation + 400lbs trq = bent rod. Def lucky it didnt break! Keep the bad juju over your way, I dont want any!
