420a engine fuse blowing

Default 420a engine fuse blowing

i was driving down hills. my car just turned off engine wise radio and windows still in working condition i tried to restart and seen that my engine fuse was blown so i replaced it and tried to restart that fuse blew out with one start i have no idea what is going on could it be a short in the wires or something else please help any info a great help thank you

I had this problem in my old truck also, i couldnt figure it out and ended up takin it to a shop and all they could come up with was puttin a bigger fuse in it, the truck worked from then on?

my car ran fine this morning i checked the alternator, spark plugs, starter, fuse box, fuel pump..... nothing out the ordinary besides the engine fuse. i did a tune up on sun changed the oil spark plugs

found the problem it was a wire exposed touching the engine but thanks man for the help

Did you use the right fuse?

yeah i used the right fuse i was sketchy on putting anything different bad things are possible to happen. using a bigger fuse i think would just make it easier for my wires to fry if it ever happened again and it will be to late if they do.

Does it even try turn over? Or are you getting nothing? I blew my motor fuse a while back. I changed it out and it started right back up.

well the car is fixed now it was a broken wire touching the engine itself so caused my fuses to burn out its just amazing because i had to get a tow home
