^yup. GM MAF is waay outdated. You said you had an SAFC....did you make sure you successfully reattached the MAF wire? I dont know how the GM mafs is hooked up so I dont know if this is at all relevant...

That happened to me when I swapped my engine...I pulled the SAFC and sold it like a month before I got the car ready to start, and the bitch wouldnt stay running at all lol. Turns out I just yanked the SAFC and forgot about it.

This is probley the best piece of information you've got so far, except you will not be adjusting the 50hz slider you will be adjusting the 500 or 600hz slider. The ECMlink cable has a different frequency then the GM MAF-T cable that your used too tuning darksidez...so anything below 500/600hz is going to be irrevelent and not used for idle tuning.

Ronk127 is your serious about having a real tune put on the car with the best ECMlink has to offer, get in contact with me.

Attachment 138436

Attached is this mornings log.

Please note that I still cannot get the car to run on its own, so you can see from the log, I have to have a bit of throttle to keep it running.

I also attached my settings so you can get the whole picture of what is going on.

The numbers to me just don't make sense (ie. AFRatioEST to Wideband). I adjusted the air flow at around the 0-900Hz in accordance with the STFT. I could hear a difference in the way the engine was running, but still won't idle.

I have looked at the demos on the ecmlink site.. they were a great help, unfortunitly, if i can't get the car to idle, most of that info doesn't really help me.

Ok... so I got the car to idle (sorta)... lets just chalk that up idiocracy, and move on.. hehe
(Was the BISS i adjusted and it idled... just as mentioned above)

BUT.. the car only seems to be running on 2 cylinders. The center two are not firing.

What the heck can be causing that? Like i said, it was running perfectly 2 days ago before i installed DSMLink.. so i know my coil pack is good, and so is my CAS.

Whoops, I missed the fact its a V3. The standalone MAF cable should have been a telltale sign...duuuuh.

Ronk127 my fake tunes haven't had any complaints yet

further update.. Just to make sure i was not going insane, i hooked up my old ecu (which was more work than it sounds). I also had to "rig" into the system the mitsubishi MAF which i had to dig out of storage. I haven't had the stock MAF on the car in literally years, so the intake piping and rerouted wiring needed to be rigged to make it work.

ANYWAYS... turned the key, and it fired right up, firing on all cylinders.

So i guess my next question is, am i missing a setting or something in ECMLink, or does it sound like i have a bad ecu?

So did you switch the leads on your coils? And I took a peek at your logs, your airflow-per-rev is way out of line. It says .60 and you should be somewhere in between .28-.32ish since its a stroker.... 450cc injectors? I hope your not running more than 15psi on the turbo.

Thanks for the help guys... I ended up sending the ECU back to ECMTuning, and it turned out to be a bad socket job (no i did NOT do it myself..hehe).

Got the ECU back, plugged it in, and she fired right up and idled perfectly.

As for the 450cc injectors, I actually have 750cc's that have been sitting here in a box for a while, but without ECMLink, I had no way to adjust for injectors that big (properly).
Either way, I installed them the other day, adjusted the settings in ECMLink, and got the car to idle fairly well. AirflowPerRev = ~.29, and CombinedFT fluctuates to between +-.75%, so not to bad.

The only thing that i can't figure out is although my numbers seem to look good and stable for those, my idle fluctuates more than I like.. I have the Idle set at 850, but the idle fluctuates between about 800-900. Notice I said fluctuates (is not stable), and NOT surges. I have adjusted the TPS on both the TB, and in ECMLink, and verified that at 0% throttle, my IdleSW is 1.

Today I plan get my cruse dialed in, and hopefully tomorrow WOT.

You could try adjusting you BISS slightly and see if it helps. your IAC could be having a hard time keeping the idle steady? Other then that glad everything got worked out!

Post a log after doing the cruise tuning!
