Default Help Please!! On witch engine will fit my 95' Ecplise!!!!

Hi everyone thanks for your time, the motor in my 95'eclipse is bad and im trying to get another one but my question for you Mitsubishi lovers<3 is what engine will fit? Any eclipse motors? The one i have in it now is the stock 2.0L. Would a 97'/98'/99' ecplise motor fit? Or how about something like a 2000 ecplise 2.4L fit? If not what motor do you guys suggest will go good in my car? Thanks for your time, any advice is appreciated!

How about which model eclipse you have? otherwise how is anyone suppose to answer?

here's a short breakdown tho.
with a GS/RS, you have a 420 a motor. The dodge avenger and late 90's neon (i believe) share the same motor.
If you have a GST/GSX, you have a 4g63. Yes you can use a 2000 eclipse block. Alot easier to come across a 4g63 block/motor tho.

The motors are not interchangable between the turbo and non turbo. Now whether you have a 420 or 4g63 you can use a motor from any 1995-1999, as long as it's the correct motor of your make. Hope this helps you.
