gasket quality

I'm looking for an upper gasket kit and I've seen them range from cheap to expensive. I know you usually get what you pay for, but is that the case here? Would a $40 kit be as good at a $60, 80, 100, etc?

head gasket kit? if you're talking about ebay, mizumoauto and domesticgaskets have pretty decent gaskets imo.
