I can always take suggestions, but until i learn in-depth myself, I wont really be able to take my car forward. Ya know.
It takes much more then just reading a book on the topic to get a full understanding of how everything works, individual judgment calls, etc... Books will help with basic knowledge, but nothing will take place of real world experience. Even with reading up on the topic, I suggest you take the car to someone who has first hand knowledge and experience. Shameless plug, but Judge Racing would be more then willing to help you with your turbo build at a very reasonable cost. We have built the quickest Mitsubishi in Tampa after all. Something to think about....

No doubt, real world experiance is best. but I'll take any route to try and learn. And Dave is one of the people who does help me when I need it after all, he's gotten my car running two seperate times I couldn't haha, along with a couple other people on here (wishiwasfast & omgosh). I'd be all willing to check them out but I actually left Tampa haha. I'm slowly making my way to Houston. Who I found out has a really nice performance shop. They've turned out some really nice cars from what i've seen. And the owners really remind me of Drew & Z lol. But since I moved annd i'm trying to make a fresh start, I wanna do the same for the car. Drew (i think) is finishing up the transmission and clutch job. Then the cars off to Chris & Will (wishiwasfast & omgosh) to get the car completely finished up and ready to Texas. So once she's out here I plan on knocking out the boost build. Hopefully while she's still in florida I can finish the side motor and when she's here I can throw it in, sell my current motor, and then piece together the turbo kit. So trying to get a head start on trying to expand my boost knowledge haha.

Thats a good idea that Ryu has about the stainless evo manifold. An Evo 9 turbo will suit your needs well...shouldnt have much problem squeezing out 350 with it. Regardless you should still learn how to read a compressor map...that will actually allow you to make an informed decision about what can flow the kind of air you want..

About the log mani, its not that there is a point that its not ok anymore. Its just less efficient.

Im jk by the way, dont do that unless you want stupid power like me =)

For those power goals im sure a big 16g will do the job on pump gas, maybe an 18g

I'm full of good ideas. The only problem is, most people are too stubborn to listen to me. After all, it's not like I know how to go fast or anything. Go figure.

The ports would have to have the same spacing as the 4g63, if not then you might as well build one from scratch

^well Ive heard that SOHC non turbo manis from 4g64 will bolt onto a 420a. And SOHC 3g guys (passenger side engine like 420a) can use Evo manifolds...

Would be quite convenient if the studs on the 420a head matched up to the 4g63/4g64 flange. I'm not sure on that one, but would be easy to confirm.
