i'm sure most of you guys know Glen, with the badass 240SX, well he recently got a nice nice NICE dyno put in his shop <SPEED STREET high performance dyno tuning> its a dynojet, it does everything includeing airfuel, soooooo anyways the point of my story is we did 4 runs on my car with the mods i have listed (with out the fuel pump, its not installed yet) i have a completely stock fuel system) first run i only dynoed at 193hp , but my whole fuel curve was rich as hell, completely off the chart, so after leaning out my top end 15% on the AFC i gained 18HP!!!!!!!!

i really think this is funny because so many people have told me theres no point in have a S-AFC if you have a stock fuel system, well guess what i have a stock fuel system and that lil flashy blue and grey box handed me 18 hp...

best horsepower per dollar gain i've ever payed........


i payed $20 and they pulled my car 4 times, i'm happy as hell,

but my final results are

MAX HP: 211.2
MAX TORQUE: 213.7

that isn't to bad considering i have a stock turbo without a boost controller.

i highly recommend going their to everyone one not just the DSM crowd they do a VERY good job!

 

yes andrew, the afc did do a good job. but i must admit, it was funny as hell seeing your face after the first dyno and you didnt break 200hp
but im glad you were able to get a t-shirt. here is some food for thought.

Why would you add all that stuff and still be running without a boost controller??

And yes, the AFC helps out a lot. I went from running low 15's to 13.77 all because of learning how to use the AFC.

 

My stock turbo is going bad, oil in the intercooler pipes, so i don't wanna totally abuse the thing, i don't even drive it hard much anymore, its gotta last me for about a month while i wait for my new turbo to come in

 

I'm willing to bet that with the IC pipes and Injen Intake your not at stock boost anymore. My buddy is running 17psi because he installed the Injen & Greddy Upper pipe only. 2nd Gens run more rich than 1st Gens as well so I could see why the AFC would help. Nice dyno run.

 

yea thats cool bro, i still haven't scanned the dyno yet either, i forgot to bring a floppy disk to the shop to get my dyno saved to disk, oh well, i'll scan it and send it to you later on i gotta get some work done, and yes my car spikes at 16psi but drops to 10 to 11 really fast its annoying as hell, i have money down on a profec-B but i think i'm going to scratch that and blow some money on the new HKS evc boost controller, its badass it has 2 units and one has a digital display that glows white, its very cool.
