Dude, just get a turbo model man. If I knew this much about cars back then, I would've started with a turbo 1G. Since you said you were 'getting' it, I assume that you don't have it yet, so make sure u get the turbo model............if possible!!!

I am in the process of doing a turbo conversion and kinda regret it. It involves a lot more parts than you can imagine.
ECU*
Wire harness*
Turbo itself
Exhaust manifold
Injectors
Downpipe
Intake pipe
Intercooler piping
Throttle bady elbow
Intercooler
Lower compression pistons
Boost gauge
Thermastat housing
Coolant piping
Oil pan*
Blow off valve
Oil feed and return lines
Coolant supply and return lines
I am almost done with my conversion. The parts with * are the only things I need to get.

As you can see it takes a lot of money, time, and parts to do a turbo conversion. If your new to these cars you should just buy a turbo model.
