I would say, send the turbo in for an hta upgrade and .63 a/r exh. housing like Ryu said and then retune. It should hit hard right at the 4k marker on your tach.

I agree with ryu and The one. You setup is coming on too late. I run a 6262 and I am at full boost by 4300. The 63 hitside is great for a street stroker. The hta conversion is also a great upgrade. It will spool earlier and hot longer.

So is this normal for that setup then guys? I would think youd have to run like -15 degrees of timing to make that little power at 4k-5k...lol. To me the power curve looks exactly like mine did when my wastegate wasnt sealing correctly, got maybe 2psi up to 5k.

No this is not normal. I was suggesting options that could be taken to help promote spool on top of fixing what appears to be a tuning issue.

Technically....with out looking at the car it is in theory. The wastegate is also a possiblity. Then again the bob is also a possibility. Several things are possible. But the hotside is one of the most likely issues cause more lag then neccassary.

Lol, that's funny. I was considering getting the Z to add to my collection (I have another bone stock 05 Evo as well), but wasn't sure if I needed that much as far as cars go. Plus I'd really like to not have a car payment. I considered the new GT500, but I can't get past the fast of liking the looks of the Z better. Making power though...GT500 all the way. Bolt-on power is ridiculous!!

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to actually be in the Tampa area from the 4th to the 10th I believe; house hunting. I don't actually move down there until the end of July, but we aren't sure where to live yet so we are checking near Tampa, Clearwater and St. Pete. I think our hotel is in Ruskin or some shit like that. I'm taking my g/f's bad ass Sebring down there as I refuse to drive an Evo that much of a distance. Not that it wouldn't make it, but no cruise control and highway drone...no thanks. And my gas mileage SUUUUUCKS!!

Also to try to address anyone's questions. I'm not sure what's going on. If the wastegate is faulty that would suck considering it's only a few months old. I don't want to talk shit because the guy who tunes my car is a really nice guy. As a person he's very good people. But my car never stays feeling fast. I just feel like something is missing with the way it's tuned and it bothers me. I ran 32psi in the winter, but only just over 28 in the summer? How does that make sense??

Cooler air is more dense and compressed. On the same boost settings you will always hit a lower peak pressure in extreme hot weather as apposed to the winter.

What is the car tuned on anyway? You should post up your fuel and timing maps...maybe a log too?
