Evo 1-3 are all 7 bolt. Evo 3 had higher compression than 1-2 and a bigger 16g. Evo 3 also had a egr on the intake where 1-2 did not.
GVR4 is a 6 bolt. Over seas they could come with the cyclone intake.

Is the GVR4 engine better then the talon tsi engine? Does it produce more horsepower?

Theres no one answer to this. You ask a few knowledgeable people and you will get different opinions.
They are both good and will be as dependable as your tune and common sense.
6 bolt is known to have stronger rods and less likely to crankwalk. 7 bolt has better pistons but is argued to have rods not quite as strong as 6 bolt plus they are more likely to walk.
6 bolt head has HUGE ports vs 7 bolt but doesnt have the velocity that a 7 bolt has.
I believe the evo 3 head ( same as 2g ) and evo 3 intake are the superior setup unless looking to build a 1000hp car then the huge ports of the 6 bolt head with a sheet metal intake would be wise.
