Default Help Needed, Possibly/Probably Walking!!!

Hey guys i have done some research on the walking crankshaft and found out what the symptoms are. As or right now my car has that ticking noise when the clutch is pushed in, recently when i first get in my car clutch seems to have no weight and goes straight to the floor when pushed and stays on the floor. The only way i can even get it in gear is if i pump it up, then its good for a lil while but soon goes back to being mushy. I know the best way to prevent damage is to completely stop driving the car, but thats not really an option right now. Im basically asking where i should my mitsu to get looked at and diagnosed. Everything is appreciated.

your lucky, you got symptoms...mine just kinda went out of the blue bye bye on me, theres basically no doubt your motor is done though, best option now is to go to 6 bolt, a friend of mine has one in his shop for a very fair price, unless your under warranty...rebuilding crankwalked motors seems to yeild crankwalk again in most cases...it sucks

If you can pump it up to make the clutch pedal harder, it sounds more like a Master cylinder. Look under the dash at your clutch pedal, look at the firewall where your clutch pedal is attached to. If you see oil there then your master cylinder could be leaking. Did you check your resevoir?

44Pirate is right on the money, took the words out of my mouth

To test for crankwalk, see if the clutch comes out while turning left, if it does, then you need a new master / slave cylinder

if not, buy a 6 bolt, Russel has one for sale

Yeah i recently bled my clutch and i think i may have taken it to far and sucked in some air, so i think i may have air in the line. Ill check the cylinder like you said. when i pump it, it works fine, but i still get that ticking noise when i press the clutch in, so i think it has crankwalk but other than that it i cant really say the crankwalk is messing anything up.

When I had some crank walk it just happened with no warning. I turned left and when I pushed the clutch in while turning it just stuck to the floor. A mechaninc told me what it was so I sold the car. Anyways, he said to test the belts by pulling on them and if they move or give at all your screwed!!

BTW I had a 97 GSX.
