I have been thinking of doing a tubular sub frame later on but right now we just want to get it going. The frame is just about as strong or stronger than it was. The tubing is 1-5/8 .134 wall that is trianglulated to make it stiff and stronger.

This is a sweet truck, I saw it in person when I bought a tranny from Pat. Glad to see you post some pics man, cant wait to see it finished.

Also, do you have any hardbody driveshafts laying around?

Got any more pictures of the rear mounting points? I am currently doing the same swap. But, why did you loose the back section of the frame? Was the suspension too close for your liking? Also, how close are you to the 240 suspension width? I plan on using a 240 rear strut bar to make sure they are at the same width/angle as a 240 would be.

I would have to go through my pics and the ones my buddy have . Lost the piece of the frame because the upper control arm would hit it and the strut would go through the middle of it. as for the space from side to side it is the exact same as a 240 we used the strut brace out of my 240 to get it right. With lots and lots of measuring and centering stringsfrom both sides and front to rear.

Get a single piece one made and loose the carrier bearing. Then weld up a loop. Thats the downfall to the HB drivetrain.
