Guys come on... all I'm trying to do is get some help on my project. I'm really thankful for all your help and lets just please try to settle our differences aside. Thanks again for your help. Tomorrow I'll take apart the rest of the engine and order the head gasket and pistons for now.

I'll go around the shops you mentioned Epstein and get some price quotes and hopefully I'll have this project on the go soon! Thanks again

THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN THE STOCK RODS AND AFTERMARKET RODS. That is where the imbalance comes from!

Why do you think they ask for the rods, pistons and bearings when they balance a crank?????

Look kid you have no idea who I am or what I've done.
I've worked on more engines then you've popped the hood on your car.

well dude you are misinforming ppl telling them that Eagle Rods ar half of what they are rated for.

Seriously why hell would a Respectable company make a product that is no better than stock, and rate their product at twice the actual strength.
Its called False Advertisement.

its all up to preference

Even the eBay T3 top mount setups (with downpipe/elbow) are pretty expensive. The best looking no-name setup is nearly $600! If you're on a budget you can either do that or go the treadstone route for a little less (and probably not make 500). Or learn to weld and start buying pipe! It sounds pretty expensive until you find out that the FR twin-scroll manifold and elbow I'm running was $1900 plus a standard SR downpipe, cat-delete, and dump.

You've gotten our opinions (on more than you've asked for, even). Go ask around on a national forum and see if anyone's done it on the cheap. Hell, PM 180sx on here (Martin). He's probably seen more low-budget setups make power (and/or explode) than anyone around here.

OP good luck with your build, consult known engine builders on this board if you feel the need for more info, Matt Vassalo, Durdan, 180sx, etc.

also....

cool alert! someone can write Yapanese! instead of sayin oppai daisuki it should say chinko daisuki, btw your writing sucks

Actually the engine I got was build by him, he only did the top end and did not mess around with the bottom (was making 400hp at the time). Was planning on waiting to save some more money and getting it all the way I waned but about 2 weeks ago I did not check my oil for about 3 days and more then half of it was gone on my sr and it only took one time for me to get on it and the damage was done... so right now I have no choice but to use that engine like I said that was originally owned and build by him. Got it from a friend of mine as he swaped it with his totally build one and got that one for a good price. Anyways long story shop thanks again for the great help! I'll post if I have any more questions, for now it seems like I got what I needed

Was in this car when it was taken out

Hey Martin, sorry about that well I guess I was mis-informed from my friend, you know how those things travel... well I'm sure I'll stop by when I get this project together and get a tune ones again. Hope it does not take me too long as I'm a little short on money right now but aren't we all...
